Signature Takes on Operation Outreach

The employees of Signature enjoy reaching out and helping the community whenever possible.  Many of our clients come into the city and offer their time and abilities to help those who, even 6 years later, are still not back in their own homes.  New Orleans has many organizations dedicated to helping the people get back in their homes and accepts volunteers from all over the world to aid them in that goal.

Signature was contacted by Operation Outreach to help on the local level.  Industry professionals from across the country banded together to create Operation Outreach to give back to the New Orleans community they feel strongly about supporting.  Jill, Samantha and Nicole were able to find an opening reception venue, celebrity chefs to cook a private meal for each of the two families moving back into their houses, signage for the ribbon cutting ceremony and dedicated their own personal time to work on the houses and sort items sent by members unable to make the trip to New Orleans.

Companies sent items from their own warehouses to New Orleans not only to benefit the two families but also 10 other homes that were missing essential items like plates, silverware, glasses, etc.  All of these families Operation Outreach and Signature received the pleasure of helping was made possible by the St. Bernard Project, a local non-profit organization based in St. Bernard Parish helping the people of St. Bernard and New Orleans come back home.

The days were muggy and full of rain but a very big since of completion and helping one’s fellow man made all the work worth it.  The ladies and gentleman of Signature were glad to be able to give back to our community and work with great members of our industry who enjoy doing the same.
